SDI Service Desk Certification (SDC) Races Away!

Monday 26 November 2012 saw a distinguished selection of SDI certified service desks visit Kempton Park Races for a relaxed exchange of ideas and thoughts with each other all wrapped up in a fun day which saw many win (and lose) money on the horses!

It got me thinking about how far the SDI certification programme has come over the past few years. It has become a most excellent way of putting some structure to your service improvement plans. It is great for identifying the things you’re doing well and those that you that need enhancing, the things you can stop to save cost. It has also become the perfect way to set an aspirational targets and motivators for your team.

SDC, as we call it at SDI, has spread all over the world with certified desks in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. While it is great for any service desk, it is also particularly suited to international organisations who want to achieve consistency of service and support across a number of support points.

To encourage prospective new entrants to the programme to learn more about how their service desk could benefit, SDI is running a range of free events in 2013, starting with on a Service Desk Certification workshop on 23 January in London. These half day events will showcase what SDI certification could do for you by featuring SDI members who have been through the programme. You will hear them share with you the whole story of their experiences and outcomes!
